7th July 2024

Join us for a day of swimming and walking along the Jurassic Coast. We will explore the quieter side of this coastline away from the busy tourist beaches. There will be lots of walking involved so you can truly see this coastline from all angles, above and below.

The route may include Worth Matravers, with Winspit Quarry, Seacombe Cliff, Dancing Ledge and Chapmans Pool or Portland Bill, Red Pool, Fossil Cave, Church Ope Cove and Pulpit Rock

The trip will be interspersed with cake, hot chocolate and a packed lunch all provided by us. There will be 2x 1-2k swims, a shorter dip and about 5-8k of walking. The day will run from 10am-4pm.

Some of the terrain is very uneven and there is often some degree of climbing or scrambling down or over rocks, so a certain amount of fitness and dexterity is required. There will also be an option to do some low level coasteering style jumps, for the more adventurous among you. This will not be compulsory, but great fun if you do decide to participate.

Mother Nature has a habit of spoiling the best laid plans so an alternative routes will be used if need be, which will be equally fun and adventurous, and confirmed 48hrs beforehand. This truly is an adventure, something surprising always happens, from ledge jumping, to seeing bats and seals, caves and coves to explore. The best of the Jurassic Coast waiting to be discovered from a different angle.

Similar to the Adventure swims, but less distance and more exploring. We will swim/dip in a few different locations, the emphasis is on exploring and enjoying the scenery rather than swimming any great distance, so no sea swimming experience is necessary, although we will happily takes more experienced swimmers further.
